The first official meeting of Bel Forest Baptist Church was on Wednesday, April 29, 1959.

Covenant

Bel Forest Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We are members of the Susquehanna Baptist Association and the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware. Although we believe strongly in an autonomous church, we cooperate with other Southern Baptist churches to carry out the Great Commission of our Lord. As members of the Southern Baptist Convention, we are able to extend our resources as we join with other Baptists to reach our world for Jesus Christ.

Bel Forest Baptist Church stands today with a glorious history of Sixty-six years’ ministry for our Lord Jesus Christ. All that has been accomplished in these sixty-six years is for His glory. Our commitment is to the Will of our Lord. Jesus said, “…Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). Bel Forest Baptist Church will survive, grow and prosper as she maintains the proper foundation which is the Lord Jesus Christ, as she follows the Will of God in obedience, and as she honors Jesus Christ as Lord.

We are grateful for the blessings of our Lord, We rejoice at the many people who have contributed to the work and who continue to contribute to the work of the Lord at Bel Forest Baptist Church. The greatest honor any Christian can receive will be to hear Him say,

“Well done thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joys of thy Lord”
